Cat of the day#1 Puma

Puma has the most names of any cat including, puma, mountain lion, lion, catamount, panther, mountain cat.
Mountain Lion is abundant in western North America and almost all of South America, although it is endangered like many other species of cats.
An average of four attacks on humans each year but only one fatality.
It is said that they can jump fifteen feet vertically and thirty horizantaly!
Their scientific name means cat of one color (felis concolor)

Sand Cat

The Sand Cat

The Sand Cat because is one of the smallest small cats, with a maximum length of no more the two feet (24 inches). The Sand Cat gets it's name from it's sandy and dry desert habitats, in Africa and Asia. Sand Cats come out at night to hunt Birds, Rodents, Lizards, and Insects. They live in little borrows that they dig up or take from other Rodents, in bad wheather they will stay in their borrows for long periods of time, and they can survive in tempatures ranging from 27 F to 126 F. These little cats are hardy and tough living in very extreme conditions.

Difference between a leopard and a jaguar

People often make the common mistake of defining a leopard from a jagauar, both have light brown/tan fur with black circles, so to tell the difference you have to look inside the circle. with a jaguar orange fur fills the black circle. Leopard's circles also have a bit of orange fur but with the orange they have little black spots inside the Cirlcle
