The Sand Cat gets it's name from it's sandy and dry desert habitats, in Africa and Asia. Sand Cats come out at night to hunt Birds, Rodents, Lizards, and Insects. They live in little borrows that they dig up or take from other Rodents, in bad wheather they will stay in their borrows for long periods of time, and they can survive in tempatures ranging from 27 F to 126 F. These little cats are hardy and tough living in very extreme conditions.

Difference between a leopard and a jaguar
People often make the common mistake of defining a leopard from a jagauar, both have light brown/tan fur with black circles, so to tell the difference you have to look inside the circle. with a jaguar orange fur fills the black circle. Leopard's circles also have a bit of orange fur but with the orange they have little black spots inside the Cirlcle

Abuse
This picture above may seem like the cheetah is having a good nap himself, and he probably is. But Cheetahs are wild animals and they should not be kept in a house, I read that along with those two dogs she has eleven cats. As the fastest land animal in the world he or she needs space to run like an African plain and not someones living room. there is also a danger level that is very high. Twenty people have been killed from keeping exotic pets like these in just the last twenty years. As you see on the left a captive Cheetah might be kept with a bad owner and this might just be what happens to a captive kept Cheetah.
Big Cat Rescue keeps cats that have been kept mostly as pets, when i visited their sanctuary in Tampa FL this march I learned that some of their cats had been treated very poorly. for example on lion was found on the concrete floor of a small basement during a drug bust, she had sores on her elbows as big as tennis balls. Also I think it was a Puma who was kept in a cage so small he could not even turn around.
